BRAED Youth Loan Program
BRAED has teamed up Community Futures - East Central Alberta to develop a unique loan program aimed at aspiring youth entrepreneurs. The two organizations are thrilled to be able to offer youth with a great business plan the chance to make their plans a reality. BRAED Community Economic Development Summer Intern Program
Another new initiative that is being led by the Youth Task Team is the Community Economic Development Summer Intern program. Five BRAED member communities submitted applications and were approved for the Internship Program and now have a variety of youth working in their communities on economic development activities for the summer. Congratulations to Flagstaff County, Town of Daysland, Village of Chauvin, Town of Wainwright, and Special Area 4. BRAED Welcomes Two New Members
At the recent BRAED AGM Members overwhelmingly voted in favour of welcoming two new Members to the BRAED Regional Alliance - the Town of Daysland as a BRAED Member www.daysland.com and the Persons With Developmental Disabilities (PDD) as an Affiliate Member, central@pdd.org. With the addition of these new Members the BRAED Regional Alliance the total Membership in BRAED now represents 34 East Central Communities and Organizations. Welcome to our newest Members!
BRAED was established in 2001 and incorporated as a not-for-profit company in August, 2002.
The BRAED region has a population of over 64,000 residents. The main source of income is from annual membership fees and government part funding.
